This drink was originally created by Michael Klein. I came accross it while flipping through the PDT cocktail book.
Framboise Fizz
1.5 oz Reposado Tequila (Peublo Viejo)
.75 oz Crème de Cacao (Marie Brizzard)
.75 oz lemon juice
2 oz Framboise
Shake the first 3 ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass (egg coupe). Top with Framboise. Garnish with 3 raspberries.
Notes:
The drink is a beautiful red color. This is a great drink for a hot summer night. Its refreshing and light with the right amount of sweetness. Despite the addition of .75oz of creme de cacao the drink is not overly sweet. The chocolate notes hang in the background but help to bring harmony to the tequila and the beer. In fact, I would like the chocolate to assert itself a little more and may consider bumping the creme de cacao to a full ounce or adding a couple dashes of chocolate bitters.
